The rate depends on:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Temperature conditions<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Light<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">CO2<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">concentration<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Water status<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any of these factors can act as a limiting factor, e.g. low light conditions, low CO<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2<\/span> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">concentration, high temperature, although it<\/span> i<b>s the lack of light<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">that is the most decisive factor as it is the most difficult to correct.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The aim of crop production is to obtain an <strong>optimal harvest<\/strong> in the <strong>shortest possible time<\/strong>, so it is vital to manage these three factors optimally.<\/p>\n<h3 style=\"color: #0070b7;\">How to apply these factors in greenhouse crops?<\/h3>\n<p><strong>In the greenhouse industry<\/strong>, this aspect becomes even more relevant, given the thermal and light environmental conditions in which the production takes place.<\/p>\n<p><strong>If the CO2 concentration in a greenhouse<\/strong> falls below the average concentration in the environment, the photosynthetic rate will be significantly reduced.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Concentrations of 700-800ppm<\/strong> obtained by<strong> carbon enrichment<\/strong> increase the photosynthetic rate, the potential<strong> increases depend on<\/strong> each <strong>crop<\/strong> species, and there are maximum limits beyond which no benefit is obtained, as they cause the stomata to close.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fixing rates of 4 to 8 grams per hour per square metre<\/strong> can be given as a benchmark, with an input of<strong> 8 to 20 grams per hour per square metre<\/strong> being considered for the sizing of enrichment plants.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>How to maintain CO2 concentration in greenhouses according to temperature, light, water status.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":4,"featured_media":4636,"comment_status":"closed","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"inline_featured_image":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[297],"tags":[633,634,519],"class_list":["post-20234","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-co2-in-greenhouses","tag-co2-in-greenhouses","tag-fertilisation","tag-greenhouse"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.3 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Carbon Fertilisation Levels in Greenhouses | Novagric<\/title>\n<meta name=\"description\" content=\"How to maintain CO2 concentration in greenhouses according to temperature, light, water status.
