APR System. Robot to build safer greenhouses

Development of a greenhouse and robot to ensure occupational safety in the construction and maintenance of plastic.

Robot for the laying of plastic in multitunnel greenhouses as well as the modeling of an industrial greenhouse compatible with this system, with high occupational safety in its assembly, and operated with clean energy. The idea of this project was born as a result of the problems that exist in the installation of greenhouses and especially in the installation of plastic sheeting on the roof, which due to the great risk involved, this work is classified as high risk, being difficult to find qualified labor willing to execute it.   Project objectives
  • Industrial development of an autonomous robot for the placement of plastic film on greenhouse roofs
  • Industrial development of a modeled greenhouse, versatile for implementation in any agricultural production area in the world.
  • Reduction of occupational hazards caused by work at heights in greenhouse construction (laying of plastic sheeting and construction of the roof structure).
  • Advances in the research of technologies aimed at energy saving and the use of alternative energies.
  • Reduction of the emission of toxic products from phytosanitary treatments, by reducing the level of treatment required, as a consequence of a reduction in the problem of water condensation in greenhouses.
  • Increase in greenhouse exports to countries in current agricultural expansion, such as Latin American countries, Morocco, Turkey, Croatia, among others.
  • Reduced production costs in agriculture as the plastic changeover operation is a more economical operation.
  • Reduction of the initial investment in agricultural production, by lowering greenhouse costs, due to a significant reduction of labor in assembly.
