Greenhouses for vegetables and lettuces crops in hydroponics and NFT
The growth of the African market provides great opportunities for the agricultural development of this great continent. Africa’s great commitment to technological and energetic transaction and to green industrialization aroused interest in a new agricultural model.
To ensure food security, minimize the water footprint and meet the growing demand for food driven by the continent’s population growth, Novagric carried out an ambitious greenhouse project with NFT system for vegetable production in Gambia.
Technological structures with hydroponic irrigation systems and NFT where the basic principle is the continuous or intermittent circulation of a thin layer of nutrient solution through the roots. All this promoting the oxygenation of the roots and an adequate supply of mineral nutrients for the development of plants.
Thanks to our agronomist, that was displaced to Africa for the project to offer advice throughout the growing process, they have achieved the yield of tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, lettuce and much more in record time and still in production.
