NOVAGRIC Projects
Irrigation installation for 300 hectares of almond trees.
Novagric has carried out an irrigation design and installation project for the production of outdoor almond trees.
The almond tree, or Prunus Dulcis, has been cultivated in the Mediterranean basin for hundreds of years. For a high value crop such as almond trees, a good irrigation system design must be carried out to obtain maximum productivity with the optimal use of resources.
The objective of this project has been to carry out a thorough hydraulic calculation and design of the system taking into account climatic priorities and soil characteristics, prioritizing its proper management to develop the root system and the volume of the tree canopy to the maximum, as this is key for the development of the root system. to achieve high yields.
The planting frame chosen was 6×3, with two drip lines at 0.60 meters and Dripnet of 2L/h.
