NOVAGRIC Projects
Biomass heating for sustainable agriculture
Novagric has carried out a project of non-polluting energy combustion boilers for tomato cultivation in Portugal that uses biological processes with less environmental impact.
The project consisted of the design, manufacture and construction of Biomass water heating systems, hoses in crop lines for 5.5 hectares of tomato crops.
Biomass boilers are giant recyclers that create energy from waste. They use natural fuels as a source of energy as heating materials, in this case olive pits were used to generate heating in greenhouses.
