The sprinkler head is responsible for managing and distributing the water to the irrigation emitters according to the conditions you set.
An irrigation head acts as the brain that controls the distribution of water across the field.
Control valves can program and regulate water flow and pressure, ensuring accurate and uniform irrigation of crops.
Their correct installation and maintenance are key to maximising water efficiency, making them an essential part of any successful agricultural irrigation project.
Components of a sprinkler head
Pumping equipment: consists of one or more pumps that provide the water flow at the pressure required by the irrigation system.
Filtering equipment: may consist of one or more filtering equipment of different types of filtration (sand, mesh, ring, hydrocyclones) and condition the water so that no blockages occur in the emitters due to the solid elements that may be in suspension in the water.
Fertiliser injection equipment: this system is responsible for adding fertiliser to the irrigation water.
Control equipment: irrigation programmers that control from the opening of solenoid valves and pump connection to the control of fertiliser injection, pH and electrical conductivity of the irrigation water, etc.
Factors for sprinkler head installation
Irrigated area: the flow rate varies according to the surface area, so the pumping equipment is adjusted to the scale and orography of your property.
Conditions of the water source for irrigation: depending on the characteristics of the water, the type of filtration and pumping installation is chosen.
Type of irrigation and fertilisation: the design of the system depends on the type of irrigation and fertigation operations.
Your needs: the sprinkler head is automated according to your needs. A timer or a complete fertigation system can be installed to control irrigation.
