XILEMA Fertigation

Fertigation is an irrigation technique (widely used in localised irrigation) that consists of the simultaneous application of mineral nutrients and water to crops through the irrigation system.

Irrigation water management is the biggest challenge facing agriculture. Its use must be especially efficient in arid and semi-arid farming areas, where it becomes a limiting factor.

The XILEMA® Fertigation System developed by Novagric is an automatic system for the precise injection of fertilisers into the irrigation network. In this way, the irrigation water incorporates the nutrients, optimises their supply to the roots and minimises leaching losses.
